Nant-Y-Maen Stone
Date Added: 1st Aug 2020
Site Type: Standing Stone (Menhir)
Country: Wales (Ceredigion)
Visited: Yes on 14th Mar 2020

Nant-Y-Maen Stone submitted by geoffstickland on 14th Mar 2020. It is clear that the two pieces were once one solid stone. Coflein seems to suggest that it was a single stone as recently as 2014 and that the fracture was natural erosion along a fault line and not the result of vandalism. In its original state it was a very massive stone indeed.
