Log Text: One last site to finish the day. Bel Air certainly donated quite a few menhirs to the neighboring towns.

Log Text: I was a bit surprised that so many of the features in this relatively remote area were fenced off. It would have been nice to move around a bit more to get some better camera angles.

Log Text: It was a little hard to tell exactly where this alignment was, because the map on the information board is set 90 degrees off, and has no compass rose. When we did find it, all that can be seen today is the tips of the now mostly buried stones.

Log Text: A long walk, but all on a nice footpath. It is interesting how often the idea of the punished maidens / knights / etc turns up in regard to standing stones.

Log Text: This structure looks like it could have come right out of any of the village cemeteries around here, with its headstone and low walls. It was even sporting a bouquet at the foot of the grave. All that was missing was an grave candle.

Log Text: Hard to imagine that they would remove several stones to put in a path so the tourists could see the megalithic structures!

Log Text: I noticed that these rather unassuming menhirs were on a website for Brittany tourism, so we decided to check them out as they were on our route. While they are nice, it is a bit of a mystery why the website would chose this site as one of about. five megalithic sites in all of Brittany to be featured.
