Site Type: Passage Grave
Country: France (Pays de la Loire:Loire-Atlantique)

Kerbourg Dolmen 1 submitted by AlexHunger on 3rd Jun 2005. Very pretty 7 Meters long, 3 Meters wide downward slopping Allee Couverte, pointing South East. It has 4 large capstones. The rear appears to have a medium size chamber, while the rest appears to be the passage leading to it. It probably once had a tumulus. Saint-Lyphard.

Kerloas Menhir
Date Added: 15th Oct 2014
Site Type: Standing Stone (Menhir)
Country: France (Bretagne:Finistère (29))
Visited: Yes on 15th Oct 2014. My rating: Condition 5 Ambience 5 Access 5

Kerloas menhir submitted by thecaptain on 23rd Jun 2006. This is the biggest standing menhir in Europe, if not the world, at nearly 10 metres tall, and has lost the top 2 metres after a lightning strike!
The stone, which is not local and has been brought to this hilltop site from more than 2.5 kilometres away, has been beautifully shaped, and tapers both into the ground, and up to a point.

Country: France (Pays de la Loire:Maine-et-Loire 49)
Visited: Yes. My rating: Condition 5 Ambience 3 Access 5

Le Grand Dolmen de Bagneux submitted by greywether on 1st Jul 2005. Site in Pays de la Loire:Maine-et-Loire 49
Some statistics: 17.3m long x 5.4m max wide x 3.1m high. The antechamber adds another 4m to the length. It is covered with four capstones the largest of which is 7.6m long and weighs 86 tons. The large overlapping backstone is 7.3m long.
Truly massive and worth the price of admission. You don't (or didn't) have to eat at the cafe to see it but it adds to the fun.
