Kirkcarrion
Date Added: 19th Jul 2017
Site Type: Round Barrow(s)
Country: England (County Durham)
Visited: Saw from a distance on 14th Jul 2017
Log Text: You can park free in the old school yard next to the bridge over the Tees, and follow the Pennine Way until you choose to divert towards the site. I know this because a helpful woman in the community bookshop told me (but she did say it's a Saxon burial site). The tourist info office is open only a few hours a week. Both places are staffed by volunteers.
Kinnerton
Date Added: 27th Jun 2017
Site Type: Standing Stones
Country: Wales (Powys)
Visited: Would like to visit
Kinnerton submitted by TheWhiteRider on 4th Jul 2005. We could only find one of the Kinerton Standing Stones. This one, just visible in the long grass is right next to a footpath. The other, according to the map, is just a little way down the road, but appears to be on private land and is hidden by a high hedge and other foliage. A visit during the Winter months may offer a glimpse of it.

Kingston Russell Circle submitted by JimChampion on 31st Dec 2004. Boxing Day 2004. Composite image, taken shortly after noon looking south-west. The field is currently being used as pasture, which means that access is muddy but at least the circle is not lost in crops. Lyme bay can be seen in the distance, and Abbotsbury hill-fort to the left of this.

Kilmichael Glassary 1 submitted by hamish on 31st Jul 2005. What a great sight this is on the edge of a housing estate. For all the modernity around it is still enthralling to be here so much to see. Try counting them.

Site Type: Stone Circle
Country: England (Cumbria)
Visited: Would like to visit

Kemp Howe submitted by nicoladidsbury on 29th Mar 2004. This is the remains of what must have been a beautiful stone circle. The stones are pink granite and have a lovely glow. Unfortunately the ambience has been shattered by the "wonderful" victorians, who built the railway on top of it.
