Site Type: Stone Row / Alignment
Country: Wales (Powys)
Visited: Yes on 15th Dec 2012. My rating: Condition 4 Ambience 5 Access 4

Maen Mawr submitted by AngieLake on 8th Aug 2005. This view of Maen Mawr looks north towards the even-shaped flat-topped mountain that blocks the north aspect of this lovely symmetrical valley. The larger Fan Brycheiniog mountain is out of sight to the NW of this view. Behind me is Cerrig Duon circle, overlooking the alternate E/W folds either side of the southern slopes of the valley from the semi-circular south end of this platform.

Careg Lywd 2
Date Added: 3rd Feb 2020
Site Type: Stone Row / Alignment
Country: Wales (Powys)
Visited: Yes on 23rd Mar 2018. My rating: Condition 2 Ambience 5 Access 1

Careg Lywd 2 submitted by SandyG on 23rd Oct 2019. Looking north along the row. The northern length of the row has been exposed by peat erosion and a shift in orientation coincides with an adjacent rock outcrop which blocks views from parts of the row. The row is orientated NNW to SSE and there is another stone row in the vicinity.

Date Added: 11th Feb 2020
Site Type: Stone Row / Alignment
Country: Wales (Powys)
Visited: Yes on 6th Sep 2018. My rating: Condition 3 Ambience 4 Access 2
Nant Gwinau submitted by SandyG on 11th Feb 2020. Loosely set stone forming part of a line of similar stones (Scale 1m).

Log Text: These stones are loosely set into the upper part of a deep peat deposit and cannot therefore be of prehistoric date. The most likely interpretation is that they are post-medieval boundary markers, perhaps indicating the extent of proposed peat cutting.
