Bryntwppa Stone Row is 4.5 metres long and made up of 3 medium and large stones in a single row. The row is at an orientation of 112.5 degrees. The site is at an altitude of 215 metres.

This stone row is recorded as Scheduled Ancient Monument (RD236) (Bryntwppa stone row) and as Coflein NPRN 401915. Coflein gives a description from a 2004 visit: "(this is the) remains of a stone row, situated at the edge of an enclosed field. The stones are aligned from ESE to WNW. The largest, that on the ESE, measures 0.9m in height, 1.1m in length and 0.7m in width. The central stone measures 1.05m in height, 0.7m in length and 0.5m in width. The smallest stone, that on the WNW, measures 0.65m in height, 0.7m in length and 0.5m in width".

The Archwilio record adds: "Stone row comprising 3 stones aligned E-W forming a row 4.5m long ..... the stones are closely associated with barrow PRN 1630. The site is in good condition although a feeding trough has been placed close by."

Update October 2019: This row is featured on the Stone Rows of Great Britain website - see their entry for Bryntwppa, which includes a description, photographs of the alignment and the individual stones, a plan of the row showing how the three standing stones protrude from the end of a long mound, a plan of the stones from a recent survey in August 2018, access information, plus links to other online resources for more information.

Note: There is no public access to this site. Permission to visit should be sought at Bryntyppa Farm or the adjacent bungalow at SO 09051 54535.
