These two old photos of Irthlingborough were found in a 1993 edition of E.H.'s 'Bronze Age Britain', by Michael Parker Pearson. [P.79] Captions: (top) - "The round barrow at Irthlingborough (Northamptonshire) under excavation." [In 1986] (bottom) - "The deposit of cattle skulls and other bones at Irthlingborough."

Log Text: One Bronze Age Round Barrow remains as an Ancient Scheduled Monument on the site currently owned and managed by Stanwick Lakes (Rockingham Forest Trust) and is clearly visible from the pathway.

The barrow can be accessed easily on level gravel paths from the main Stanwick Lakes car park.
