Mactaris Numidian Tomb submitted by AlexHunger on 26th Mar 2008. Large Numidian Megalithic tomb measuring 12 x 4.5 Meters next to Numidian-Roman City. South Side. It has 6 chambers all next to each other. The style is as if the locals had been influenced by Egyptian mastabas and French Allé Couverte and the odd Maltese temple.
The Numidian Megalithic tombs tend to begin in the 5th century BCE and end in the middle of the 2nd Century BCE.
As much of Mactaris has not been excavated from a 2 Meter layer of dirt, I suspect that there ight be a couple more of...

One of the Rollright Stones group, this extremely weathered 8' high stone is 300' away from the King's Men stone circle. It may have been connected with a destroyed Neolithic cairn.

Chun Quoit submitted by sem on 16th Jun 2005. The capstone and the horizon.
There is a theory that dolmens (or quoits as they are known in Cornwall) were not totally covered in earth but the capstones were left uncovered and were a copy of the horizon. I have manipulated the tones in this shot to show this, but no shapes have been altered.

Knock Stone Circle submitted by Andy B on 12th Mar 2011. A faux stone circle, located by Knock in the Bathgate Hills, 2 miles (3 km) northeast of Bathgate in West Lothian. Comprising 50 stones, arranged in two concentric circles in a field by the roadside, the circle was built as a 50th Birthday surprise for the farmer by his son in 1998 and was undoubtedly inspired by the nearby Neolithic site at Cairnpapple Hill.
