Log Text: At the car park across the street, you have easy access to the three stones. Mind the traffic as you cross and remember to continue to the kirk to see the stone there.

Log Text: Site includes Tillytarmont 2 & 3 as well as the Redhill stone. All are weathered, but kind of pleasantly displayed in a garden-like setting. This is not the original location for any of the stones, but they were found nearby.

Log Text: Clach an Tiompain or the Eagle Stone. Easy access from a couple of paths in the Strathpeffer village. The stone is weathered quite a bit, which is why I rate condition 3. The eagle is more difficult to see than in photos from 10-15 years ago. The horseshoe is still fairly sharp.
The stone is slightly elevated and in the morning was very nicely lit showing the stone in a dramatic way. It's a solitary spot in the midst of a residential area, but it doesn't feel that close to the town. Because of the location and the approach from downhill, I gave the ambiance a 4. I visited a few times while I was in Strathpeffer, but the morning light was really a great way to see the stone.

Cloutie Well submitted by KiwiBetsy on 6th Dec 2004. The Cloutie Well was once better known as St Curitan's Well and was revered for its healing powers especially if the waters were taken at Beltane (1st May).
The old stone trough, which is filled by a slow trickle of water from a metal pipe coming out of the bank, is easy to locate on the roadside of the A832 between Tore and the turnoff to Munlochy.

Log Text: Very easy to visit, well signed from the roadway. There is a parking area and several paths. I recommend going left and coming into the well counterclockwise. There is a wide range of cloth tied to the trees and if you are attentive, they can tell a bit of a story. There are also coins in the area where the well spills over.
I was there with only a couple who didn't stay long, so I was able to enjoy the well.

Log Text: Edderton I or the Clach Biorach is in a field with easy access. However, there are curious cows. They surrounded me on my way to and from the stone, which has a short fence around it to keep the cows away. The stone is quite weathered but the carvings are visible from behind the fence.

The Well of The Dead submitted by TimPrevett on 19th Aug 2007. The Well of the Dead at Culloden Moor battlefield. Possibly has a much older history than the Jacobite Rebellion. Pending research.

Log Text: Very interesting mystical well that just happened to be located where the battle of Culloden happened. The site of Alexander MacGillivray's, death. He was leading the Clan Chattan into battle against the royalist forces.
