Inhabited ca 1,000 to 1,300 CE. Discovered 1,694 CE by Spanish Priest. Thought to be abandoned due to climate change. Made of "Caliche" dried mud. N32.99452, W111.53743, Elevation 427 Meters. There are about 40 platform mounds in the Phoenix/Tucson area. Further north there are cliff dwelings, belonging to a different culture.

Signal Hill submitted by bat400 on 18th Sep 2006. Signal Hill, Pima County, Arizona. Large spiral petroglyph on Signal Hill in the Saguaro National Park. The figure is placed on a sloping bolder. The angle is such that the surface facing north is in the shadow from the fall to the spring equinox and only lit in the "summer" half of the year. Photo by bat400, June 2003.

Lexden Tumulus submitted by Thorgrim on 7th Jun 2004. Dated to 15-10BC, this massive barrow has lost much of its height, but has an enormous circumference. Possibly the burial mound of Addedomaros of the Trinovantes, it preceded the Roman occupation but contained high quality Roman trade goods.
