Palmyra Valley of the Tombs
Date Added: 25th Sep 2010
Site Type: Rock Cut Tomb
Country: Syria
Visited: Yes on 23rd Nov 2007

Palmyra Valley of the Tombs submitted by h_fenton on 23rd Nov 2007. view looking west from the top of the Tomb of Elabel. There appears to be some sort of square structure based around a courtyard, possibly with robbed out walls which have been excavated (leaving narrow straight linear trenches) also looks like some of the cells around the courtyard have been excavated.
