Log Text: A great visit-the fire had been prepared 2 hours before, so the hot air and smoke was filtering well through the roof (bracken and thatch). Sat inside it was only smoky in the upper space. Definitely not as smoky as sitting round a fire in the open. A lovely space that seems so much bigger than its 6m diameter would suggest. We got about 20 people inside on the benches.

Ri Cruin submitted by caradoc68 on 23rd Feb 2012. This lovely cairn dates from the Bronze Age and is pretty new when it comes to the Kilmartin landscape. Hidden away in some trees just of the beaten track with its two kist's, this Cairn has a lot to offer with its large Kist's and its rock art of axeheads and possibly a caving of a boat in one of these kists !!.

I attempted to climb the gradient, and managed about 10 feet. it seemed very precipitous. No-one laughed at my failure to scale the slope as they had attempted nothing. i have no idea who i was with, where i had come from and where i was going. ay. viva la 1971
