The underlying helmet found within the grave is of a Coolus type. It would have been hammered into shape from a cast rough-out. The helmet rim is decorated with a hatched and punched frieze. A pair of connectors were riveted to either side for a leather chin strap to secure the helmet in place.

The Neolithic artefact, which dates back to ca.3200 B.C. was found at Tarxien Temples. It clearly represents two people hugging each other with their faces very close to each other, possibly kissing. This unique figure is, to date, the only artefact dating to the Maltese Neolithic period which shows human emotions immortalized through artistic expression."
