Log Text: There are good parking possibilities in the immediate vicinity, so that you only have to walk the last 500 meters. There are also very good information boards on site of the tumuli.

build with 7 orthostats on each long side in NE-SW orientation.
The NE single orthostat on the short side is in situ.
There are 4 orthostats of the NW long side still in position,
5 on the opposite. (According to Sprockhoff's text)
Nowadays it seems that you can see the tips if one
more orthostat on each side.
Remains of most likely a former capstone are resting
in the chamber. More remains of former capstones are
scattered around ...

Log Text: The biggest problem is that all ways to the grave are overgrown or no longer exist. Sometimes you even come across signs in the forest that show you nonexistent paths. It's best to rely on your GPS to find it.

Log Text: The Long Barrow is right next to the local village cemetery. There are very good parking facilities and the grave is not very difficult to miss due to the large oak tree next to it.

Log Text: There is no direct path to the stone grave, so you have to walk across the fields. This limits the access to late autumn, winter and early spring before sowing.

Basdahl Sieversberg submitted by CharcoalBurner89 on 10th Mar 2021. The Sieversberg is the highest tumulus in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme).
The name Sieversberg is derived from a local legend according to which a robber named Sievers was buried here centuries ago. According to tradition, he was not allowed to be buried in the Christian cemetery.

Log Text: The tumulus can easily be reached by car from Basdahl. The last 200 meters, however, should be better walked because the road to the tumulus are very bad.

All 14 chamber orthostats are preserved nearly in situ, but are deeply embedded into the ground. Only one impressive capstone (out of probably 6) remained. (April 2009)

Log Text: The cist is right next to the road along with a very detailed information board. In Fehrenbruch just follow the signs to the local cemetery and then drive a few 100 meters until you reach the cist at the end of a small wood.

The uploaded picture is a shot of an enlarged historic photo displayed in the Historisches Museum Bremerhaven. The original photo was taken around 1900.

Log Text: You can now drive freely on the road to the cist. However, the street is quite narrow and local farmers should be given priority for their agricultural traffic. The cist is only a few steps into a small wood.

Karlstein (Neu Wulmsdorf) submitted by Creative Commons on 20th Mar 2018. The Karlstein is an erratic boulder in Neu Wulmsdorf (Lower Saxony/Germany). The stone measures 1.9 × 2.5 × 2.2 m. It exhibits deep natural furrows and several chiseled horseshoe-like symbols. Flint stone tools were discovered at the boulder.
