D30 Exloo submitted by Martin_L on 25th Jun 2010. Aerial from the East. Chamber length 7,3m (clear 6m) Width varies from 3m to 3,4m (clear 2m) The chamber is deeply embedded into the sandy ground. All orthostats were (and still are) preserved in situ when van Giffen examined the site in the early 20th century. D43 Emmen Schimmeres

D43 Emmen Schimmeres submitted by Sunflowerbird on 7th Mar 2005. Emmen Schimeres is the only 'langgraf' in the Netherlands and feels very much like Wayland's Smithy. It has a complete kerb of massive stones and its chambers are just beginning to show through what is left of its barrow. A monster and a beauty just on the outskirts of Emmen (off the Odoorn Road). Signposted. Opposite the Mazda garage.
