Down Tor submitted by AngieLake on 20th Feb 2010. This restored cross stands just south of the track from Burrator reservoir, and NNE of Down Tor stone row and circle. Check out the lime green square link to 'Streetmap' OS map on the site page for position... (it's not the one near Crazywell Pool). Though it's a bit 'washed out', it gives some idea of the beauty of the area.

Easy on-street parking (though not sure if this was seasonal).
Access to church difficult due to padlocks, but go down path to left at south door, and follow signs to Ladywell.

You can see how steep the track is. It didn't appear easy to access the well from the east.
[iirc there was also barbed wire running along the wall.]
