Visited: Yes on 6th Nov 2011

Badshot Lea

Badshot Lea submitted by Andy B on 6th Nov 2011. The site of Badshot Lea long barrow, which now has Doggy Day Care as its neighbour! The lady here was pleasant and we stayed clear until she had moved the (very barky) dogs in her care. This is "immediately east of the railway cutting" so I think the barrow would have lain along this narrow strip of land

Log Text: I though this was perhaps a bit boring but the family liked it. I think it's the tiny enclosed off area that spoils the ambience.
