This one, as is often the case, has a beautiful situation. It is one of several nearby, the largest by far being that at Gurness, 3 km to the NE. They are of course, a Pictish construction.

Fishing spear.
This fishing spear was used by fishermen Skæl and Søle one May morning in the year of 8232 BCE to catch a tuna fish off the coast of Fænø. In view of the fact that rice was not yet grown in the region, Søle was forced to produce their tuna sushi exclusively using wild grains and the bitter horseradish that Fænø remains famous for. It is possible to order a meal in Copenhagen’s restaurant Noma based entirely on Søle�...

The wind farm will consist of 15 turbines with a tip height of 110 meters and an installed capacity of up to 45MW.

The elaborately carved statues, of which some are over seven meters in height, are estimated to be between a thousand to a thousand-five hundred years old, and represent human figures, idols, deities and zoomorphic figures. There are more than a hundred and twenty statues in the museum collection.
