Seen here are the remains of the enclosure than ran around the slope below the three rocky outcrops that on the perimeter of the fortified site.
In the distance, the hill slope country drops down towards the coast.

According to the map, this area is littered with hut circles, but they aren't very obvious. However there are undulations on the ground here which may relate to one. Behind is the Preseli ridge.

Earthfast natural slab in north east Skomer submitted by Andy B on 11th Apr 2012. Probable megalithic site on northeast Skomer, with two orthostats found in close association with a large, earthfast rectangular slab of natural origin, seen from the south. The twin orthostats break the skyline when seen from all southern approaches and look out across St Brides Bay to the peaks of St Davids Head in the north.

NGR: SN06093930 (Landranger map 145/Outdoor Leisure North Pembrokeshire map (No 35))
Located close to the centre of Newport in Pembrokeshire with public access. Although called a tripod dolmen four uprights exist - only two of which support the capstone (which is said to replicate the summit of Carn Ingli to the south).
Excavations have revealed cremated bone, Beaker and Grooved ware sherds.

The stone can be found through a gate, with a sign saying private track & mentioning St Bernards loose, (we didn't see any!) It is beside the first cottage under some trees, & is a large female lozenge stone.

I loved the atmosphere with the mist swirling about me. I was completely alone, except for the sound of the wind through the stones.
