Zennor Hill and Carn Zennor submitted by rexh on 7th Mar 2012. This chamber-like tor has its side and cap stone and might well have been the prototype for the quoits nearby. Its 'capstone' has a solutions basin which has worn right through to become a ring stone similar to the holed stone used in the construction of the Men-an-Tol stone circle.

A panoramic view of the Cockpit Stone Circle which according to Magicmap ‘includes a circular kerbed stone bank 2.8m -11.2m wide and up to 0.5m high which encloses an area approximately 27m in diameter. There are 27 (?) standing and recumbent stones set largely into the internal face of this bank, thereby creating the stone circle. Nine Stones Close submitted by funsize on 4th Jun 2007. Seen from the south with just a hint of sunshine illuminating the frozen landscape around the stones. The guardian oak tree is the perfect companion to the last remaining stones of what was once a much larger monument.
