Re: The Old Stones - The new book from the Megalithic Portal by Andy B on Thursday, 30 August 2018

Review from Wesverines Prehistoric sites on Facebook

The Old Stones. A review.
A guide to many prehistoric sites in the UK and Ireland. Each site has a description and many have a photo. Also given are Ordnance Survey map reference numbers (and which OS map it's on) and latitude and longitude details. Each site is described and further information is given for a good percentage.
There are many maps showing where the sites are on a regional basis.
Throughout the book are a number of interesting articles.
Trying to cover every site would be impossible. This guide covers the well known and the not so well known. Several sites I wasn't aware of at all. If you like The Modern Antiquarian you'll like this.
Over 400 pages, index and suggestions for further reading and online sites.
A welcome addition to Wesverine's library.
Well worth investing in a copy.
Costs £29.99. Available now from http://www.megalithic.co.uk and will be available in the usual places next month.
