In my article of some years ago I submitted that the British Tribe, 'DOBUNNI' got it's name and meaning from the Irish Celtic, and in fact means 'The Dark-Haired People'. Even the Romans had no idea what the name meant or the language it was from. The meaning has never been discovered. Jane Hill from the North Somerset Museum commented to me that Archaeologists should look at language to assist their findings perhaps.
