Passage Grave in Drenthe. The location of this destroyed hunebed, which was discovered at the same time as hunebed D8a, was recognizable in the terrain as a faint, oval depression with the start of a low hill around it. This hill can be regarded as the cover hill. Summary research has shown that the depression largely coincides with an excavated pit containing a lot of gravel. Some pebbles from the basement floor were found at the bottom of the pit. The size of this pit (6 x 3.5 m) suggests that it must have been a small hunebed, with no more than three pairs of side stones
