Artificial Mound in Gwynedd
Three possible burial mounds situated within a col under the north face of Cadair Idris, to the north of Llyn Gafr and lying close to an ancient settlement. The mounds are approximately 6m in diameter and lie 4m appart. The mounds are overgrown with grasses and moss.
The most southerly mound is the best preserved. It has a height of 1m and there is a ditch circumference. There are no signs of disturbance.
An ancient trackway meanders by to the north where it passes a standing stone as it leaves the col.
