This stone circle is located just below the Kvernes stave church. It is on a small ridge overlooking the sound between Averøy and Måløy and the site has a beautiful wiev over the sound.
The stone circle consists of 11 rounded blocks of stone, they are around 0,5 metres in height and around 0,4 to 0,7 metres in diameter. The stones are placed around 2 to 1,5 metres away from each other and the diameter of the circle is around 15 metres. In the centre of the circle is a larger stone, it has a flat surface and around 2X2 metres across. The circle is believed to be from early iron age, around 200-700AD. It has never been excavated, but the age is estimated from other burials in the area.
The circle was found in 1923 during farming work and removed but the circle was in 1993 restored on its original placement. Not far away from the circle was also found a white phallitic stone. It is today in museum.
