Prehistoric Peeps, The Annual Water Fete submitted by Andy B : Peep XII - The Annual Water Fete It is quite a mistake to suppose that the Henley Regatta was not anticipated in earliest times Image from Prehistoric Peeps by Edward Tennyson Reed which first appeared in Punch Magazine in the 1890s. A quick update about the move to our new server. Everything went smoothly, the fine tuning has taken a while, including security, backups and so on. The new server is lightning fast so we hope you enjoy the browsing / editing experience and it will encourage you to spend more time here.

Unfortunately we ran out of T shirts so more are on order, sorry about this and thanks for your patience if you ordered one with a 3 year membership.

As well as joining the society we would like more people to get involved in the compiling and running of the site so please let me know if you have an interest in researching the ancient sites of a particular geographic area, or in other things behind the scenes.

In the last few months we have made great progress in Belgium, Cornwall, Cumbria, Northumberland, parts of Germany, Portugal Russia and many other places. All by amateur researchers.

Things we always need help with:
Keeping up to date with discoveries and news on ancient sites worldwide. If the news or info involves a particular ancient site that we have listed then you can post a comment directly on our page for the site. Otherwise the best way is to start a new topic in the Forum.
Identifying and addling ancient site locations to our database based on information from various sources such as news, research, and publications old and new - many of which are available elsewhere on the net.

We also have new projects starting:
Improved Mapping (and GIS)
A user contributed site dating project
Extending to Roman sites (our new server should help to make this possible at last)
so if you have an interest to help with any of these areas please get in touch.

A reminder of what happened last month is here. Thanks again to everyone who got in touch via comment, email and by joining as a member.
