While online gambling is a thing now because of social distancing and the proliferation of tech devices, many people still enjoy visiting and playing games in a bricks-and-mortar casino because they love the precious moments of fun they can have there. Every casino lover should know that the oldest casino in the world is now 380 years old, and its architecture was described as opulent at the time. This article takes you on a tour of the world's most enchanting casinos that marvel with their architecture and interiors.

Casino buildings are usually represented as places that exude luxury and promise their players a lush lifestyle if their luck pays off because their bank account will flourish. When building casino houses, some designers find a Vegas-like atmosphere crucial, while others prefer to create an environment that reflects grand elegance. Whatever gambling enthusiasts may want, there is a casino somewhere in the world to meet their preferences.

Monte Carlo, Monaco

Where else should we start the tour than in the place where rich and famous gather to spend their holidays and money, and enjoy their lavish lives? Even if Monaco is a small country in Europe, it drips with wealth and royalty, two attributes that attract every prosperous individual. The casino was built considering the public it should attract, and therefore it features breath-taking architecture and gives you a sense of lavishness from the moment you spot it. Charles Grainer built it in the mid-1800s, and the place fits in the Beaux-Arts design category. Even if years passed and millions of gamers stepped foot inside, the building is well-preserved and still maintains much of the original architecture, making it one of the jewels of Monaco.

The casino is one of the most opulent in Europe, with the interiors rich in marble and gold. You'll feel like you enter a world where the money is no object because the intricate paintings and details scroll from the ceiling to the floor on the walls, with the sole purpose to remember your life can change if your luck pays off. Among the large collection of games you can play in Monte Carlo, roulette is by far one of the most popular. The casino game was originated in France in the 18th century, and as France and Monaco are geographically close, it didn't take long for it to cross the borders and grow in fame as one of the oldest casinos in the world.

Crockfords Club, UK

Gambling is a long-standing tradition for over 2000 years in the UK, and the first casinos appeared in the 19th century in the form of private, members-only gaming clubs. Crockfords Club in London is one of the oldest casinos in the UK, established in 1826 as a hangout for elite individuals of British society to meet and gamble. The Duke of Wellington supported Willian Crockford to open the casino as a members-only club to welcome the most influential men of the times. Being a private, exclusive spot, it quickly became an attraction for every passionate gambler from and outside London.

You can still visit Crockfords Club in Mayfair London and enjoy gambling in its most sophisticated form. You can play roulette, blackjack, keno, dice, and all the other old casino games you would expect to find in this kind of spot. As roulette is the most popular casino game in the UK the Crockfords Club has many high stakes rooms and private salles where you can gamble with other enthusiasts. If you have never played roulette before, at least visit a website that offers online roulette before joining the Crockfords Club because everyone there is experienced in the nation's favourite game.

Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas, USA

Everyone knows that Las Vegas is the most famous casino city worldwide, so it makes sense that it has some of the most beautiful casino buildings (see photo top left). Every detail about Caesar's Palace is astonishing and true to the name because it's a modern representation of ancient Rome's luxury. The architects chose the Baroque Roman style for the interiors, with gorgeous frames for each entrance, replicas of Roman statues, ornate architraves, large pillars, spraying fountains, and stunning art pieces. The rich elements and details bring the place to life and welcome those keen on gambling into a world that enchants, with the promise of a lavishing experience. The palace is a 14-story building with a 161,500 square foot gaming area, a luxurious mall that integrates over 160 stores, and a 50,000 square foot spa. Caesar's Palace is more than a gambling hub, is an experience every gamer should have at least once in life.
Sun City, 2004

Sun City Casino Resort, South Africa

Most people travel to South Africa to meet penguins while bathing in the sun on the beach. But South Africa also has one of the most beautiful casinos in the world that offers an incomparable experience. From the moment you see the Sun City Casino Resort, your heart is in awe because you cannot understand how someone could have imagined such a stunning architectural structure for a gambling hub. The resort was built in 1979 and includes four hotels, a casino, a waterpark, and two golf courses. You can spend the entire vacation on its premises without feeling the need to visit another place because it provides all the entertainment you'd want.

Many gambling enthusiasts describe the place as the spot where the grasslands and wilderness of Africa meet the opulence and style of Las Vegas. If the Caesar's Palace is placed in the heart of a concrete city that never sleeps, the Sun City Casino Resort is surrounded by a lush jungle. It's a true African palace with large windows, high arches, tall ceilings, and creative architecture that would amaze everyone who steps foot inside for the first time. The Resort integrates the natural beauty of Africa in the interior design architecture that includes themes from the local history. Its faux elephant tusks, oversized pillars and sculptures remind you that you are in a place with a rich history and encourage you to immerse in the local culture to find more about it.

I hope you enjoyed our list of some of the most beautiful casinos in the world that every player should visit at least once in a lifetime. Please gamble responsibly.
