Description
The reverse (NE) face, sadly very worn with only a few of the symbols still visible.
Near the bottom you can see the two discs of a double-disc-with-Z-rod, each embossed with six discs around a central disc (ignore the two diagonal lines running up from the bottom left which are not part of the design). Above the right disc can be seen a small crescent-with-V-rod. Immediately above that (but almost invisible) is a small "pictish beast", and there is another, larger "beast" below the double-disc, most of which is hidden below ground. This face also had a figure of a kneeling bowman and some elaborate interleaving, all now much worn away.
To appreciate the full splendour of this stone as it once was, se the drawings on RCAHMS' webpage - http://www.scotlandsplaces.gov.uk/search_item/index.php?service=RCAHMS&id=15498
