Description
Site in slovenia: Narrow channel leads upwards to the trap chamber. The trap chamber is about 2.5 meters long and 1.8 meters wide, while the depth is over 2 meters. All of the corners are rounded up to the top with a radius approximately 35cm. The surface of the radius is flattening up to the top of the trap chamber. This way any corner rock embossments that might become helpful in a trying escape, was avoided. The narrow channel leading to the trap chamber is about 75 cm wide, and deepens slowly . An animal looking to reach the bait positioned at the wall of the chamber would have seen the shallow channel as the easiest approach to the bait. The suspended prickly barrage did the rest.

Very interesting. Is there any knowledge regarding the age of the trap?

Near the trap there are several once upon the time plundered barrows remain.
Wodering around the second trap turned up. Additional pictures comes soon.
