This is recent? Like the other photo? Interesting - I'm now tempted to travel with my carving tools.

There is no record of such a carving on the Nine Ladies. This is a either a spoof or a mistake. I challenge the contributor to exactly identify where this is.

Hi, everyone, I am a new member of the site. I went up to the Nine Ladies last Friday Oct.31st. The stone in question with the swirl pattern on it is not found on one of the standing stones or the "Kings Stone" outlier, but it can be found on another stone (which is lying on the ground) outside of the circle. It can be found on the edge of some trees and is roughly at the 3 o'clock postion if you stand in the circle and face the "King's Stone". Hope this helps?
I was wondering if this carving has any age to it?
Cheers, Ade.
