Description
This the area of Friars well. The highlighted areas show the prehistoric features that can be found here. At the bottom is Friars well itself, which is a natural spring. Next up with two bushes on top of it is a burnt mound, and pieces of burnt shattered rock can be found scattered about with some searching. At the top is what is known as Friars Gill tumulus, a large and impressive barrow. The large cut to the left of the track is a post medieval gravel pit.
