Looking south across this whin stone standing stone. Either the eastern side of the stone (left hand side on the photo) has been shaped, or weathering has caused flakes of stone to drop away, causing this curved effect.  Canmore tells us:

Description
Looking south across this whin stone standing stone. Either the eastern side of the stone (left hand side on the photo) has been shaped, or weathering has caused flakes of stone to drop away, causing this curved effect. Canmore tells us: "This standing stone measures 1.05m by 0.8m at the base and stands to a height of 1.45m."
