Description
The post-holes of 16 timber posts had been found in close vicinity of the tumulus. Some are even within the henge-like trench that surrounds the tumulus.
In 2007, they were reconstructed. However, the functional role of the timber posts is still unknown. They may have been used as a calendarium but might as well have been used as part of architectural elements like arches, bridges or temple structures.
