Hi, AngieLake, I was fascinated by this photo of yours, and your question. On the Irish National Park, Age of Invasion web page, second paragraph it has a similar-ish photograph (but taken from further away). The shape of the building(s) looks the same; the site says: "The crannóg here in the Heritage Park includes a full-scale replica of a king’s house – the only such reconstruction in Ireland and one of the biggest roundhouses to be reconstructed anywhere in Europe." Is this one and the same, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

I don't think it is the king's house Anne. But I found a similar picture on this link:
https://www.revolvy.com/page/Irish-National-Heritage-Park. The picture subtitle hints that it might be an ancient farmer's hut dating back to 4000 BC? Wait - I have found this now! http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1252699, it shows a very similar Mesolithic hunter-gatherer's camp!
This link:
http://www.geograph.org.uk/gallery/irish_national_heritage_park_county_wexford_10033, has photos of all the main displays, showing the actual crannog example.

And it is here on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_National_Heritage_Park
I think the park was relatively new back in 1999 so the surroundings, and some of the structures, will have changed. Looking at the dolmen and stone circles on one of the websites I checked out, showed them looking much more aged than when we visited all those years ago.
