Description
Sorry for poor picture quality; the dappled sunlight under the trees does not suit my Nokia N95's camera.
At centre top is the cross (you can see the four circular cut-outs at the vertices); at centre bottom is a square (cracked diagonally across) with two figures embracing; the rest of the surface is covered in interlaced spirals.
It is called "The Princess Stone" in connection with a local legend of a princess who drowned in the nearby River Findhorn.
To see it in its pristine state, see the fine drawings on the RCAHMS webpage - http://www.scotlandsplaces.gov.uk/search_item/index.php?service=RCAHMS&id=15498
