The missing capstones and orthostats.... 
The site was heavily damaged in 1902 (!) when at least (the) two capstones and several orthostats were robbed to erect a monument for Grossherzog Nicolaus Friedrich Peter in Rastede in 1903.

Bad Karma: A monument built of stones robbed from the nearby megalithic tomb .... Poor Grossherzog Nicolaus Friedrich Peter.
Certainly the robbed stones should be used to reconstruct the site. Now!

I suspect I am not alone in sayiny this is terrible!

Even more terrible is the fact that in historic times (esp. 19th century) approx. 95% of all megalithic tombs in Germany were blown to pieces and used for example to built roads....
