I wonder if the spiral path is original to the site and had ritualistic significance.

ghostlly, In these matters I have no idea. You can consider me being an innocent child in this respect that just are visiting prehistoric sites in order to shoot a few photos – that's all!

In Stolpegaard's Garden directly NW of the house are 2 burial mounds [sb.5-5A]. The northernmost [sb.5] is a very beautiful arched high, 3.25 m high, c. 18 m in dimension. The hill is grassy with some trees on the side. On the top stands a circle of trees. A path winds its way around the mound. Conservation Worthy. Inspected on, 12 / 9 1931

A Burrow in the northwest corner of Stolpegaard's Garden, 3.25 x 18 m. The top slightly flattened. A Path up the side of the mound. Protected by the Executive Board of the former poorhouse "Stolpegaard". Preservation approberet by Gentofte municipal council and the parish councils in Gladsaxe, Herlev, Lyngby Taarbaek and Søllerød as the owners of Stolpegaard Announced publicly 19 / 1 1932nd 31 / 3 1939 at the Board's order devoted 8 m. [[After the Board's order preserved in 8 m girth - to the N and V for fencing. 442/54]].

Forest and Nature Agency, 10 office
Dimensions acc. To blue card is not measured again, but is taken for face value. Snailegang to the top of the mound. The top has suffered light damage from visitors. Overgrown with a wreath of 6 old trees on the top surface and scattered, small deciduous trees along the foothills. Incidentally grassy, except for the top surface inside the ring of trees.
