 Broad Down dominates the view ahead when walking up the East Dart River valley.
It's only about a mile from Postbridge, though a fairly steep climb, and walking boots advisable.  Crossing the tributary stream might need some waterproof shoes as it's a big boggy there, but I found a dry way around it by going up around the wet bits. The upper arc of Broadun's circular enclosure is just visible on the far left of the hill, while Broadun Ring can just be seen as a narrow oval shape in the middle, just below the sunnier summit. (It's not as narrow as it appears here.)

Hi Mike. Yes, I had to look twice myself, but the trees are straight and the hill summit's level, ha!ha! ;-) (You'd think it would be awkward to open, but it wasn't!) It was such a lovely area to walk in, as is most of Dartmoor. Just a bonus that there were some new sites to visit, too.
