Description
Another cross on St Michael's Mount, viewed from the rear of the battlements. Cheryl Straffon, writing in 'Ancient Sites in West Penwith' says:
"There are 3 old crosses on the Mount: (1) a 15thC granite lantern cross (5149 2988); (2) a small wheel-headed cross (5161 3001), originally from Trevean near St Erth, now on a ledge overlooking the sea, with unique carved heads on either side of the figure, pointing to a Celtic origin, and 3)" ...
