Orongo dwellings are faintly reminiscent of Skarabrae but much larger and lacking any internal furniture. Like the Hare Paenga ceremonial dwelling these also are oval but less elongated. The famous basalt Moia in the British Museum was discovered hidden within one of these structures during the 19th century by HMS Topaz.
