Cosdon Beacon Summit Cairns can be seen as a tiny pimple on top of the mighty hill opposite.... viewed here from the top of Belstone Tor.
In the valley below, the River Taw starts its run down to the north coast of Devon from its source, a few miles further south, near the west of Hangingstone Hill, and close to Cranmere Pool letter box, the first established on Dartmoor.
