Humanoid stele from the earliest layer of Troy I, dating to between 3000 and 2500 BCE at the Istanbul museum.
The museum also stated that there were menhirs dating from Troy V and VI (Trojan war era) at the site, but these were not visible at the time.

More comical political correct "BCE" posting. To all nit-wit, polititical correct, dating poster's information: the defining dating chronology of BC and AD will always be as regards to the Christian calendar. If you want to change it, then consider replacing the dating system with, say, the advent of agricuture ( about 10,000 BC ) with a unversially acepted starting point of zero, then proceeding up from there to the present day, thus giving a present day date of 2009.
Example: advent of agriculture--about 10,000 BC = 0 , birth of Jesus = 10,000.
Today would be about 12,000. drop the 10,000 and we have 2000 ( or really 2009 )
