Description
Looking south west across the Platform Cairn of Brenig 51, 19/08/22. I'd never actually seen the Brenig archaeological trail in sunshine, so, I was determined that on this day I would! It may have been mid August, but several layers of clothes were needed, and we soon abandoned a lakeside picnic for a car picnic.
Lots of bounding interested cattle along the fields parallel to the lakeside track. Once I came down from Brenig 8 and 51 towards the ruined farmhouse, the cattle were completely across the track having pushed a broken gate open. It took some determined shooing and walking towards them at an intimidating pace to get them to run off.
