St Samson's Well (Golant)

Description
The well is in a beautiful setting looking out over the River Fowey. St Samson was a Welsh missionary who travelled widely. It is said he slew a serpent and occupied it’s cave while setting up a monastery. St Samson was over 100 years old when he died in Brittany about 565AD.
