Deserted Kilmory Oib village with cross showing behind the reeds and to the left of the distant ruin. Some of the ruins have been used more recently as sheep folds. Kilmory Oib can be translated as ‘Chapel of Maelrudha’, an 8th century saint, or ‘Chapel of Mary’, depending on the emphasis.
