9. Fedorovka, Karlovka district, Poltava (Fig. 14).
Chance find of a stela, which may be of the Natalevka type, was found in the area of two plowed-out kurgans. It was carved from sandstone and measured 1.33 m tall, 0.51 m wide and 0.30 m thick. The upper part of the stela had been broken off. The front revealed traces of what might have been a shepherd’s crook, a dagger, spear, animals and human figures with upraised hands; a battle-ax had been inserted in the belt. The rear of the figure was covered with a back bone and ribs; the belt had been decorated with ‘beads' and two foot-prints were superimposed on the belt. The stela is held by the Poltava Museum.
