In this part of the urn-moor many mounds are kept. Here are more than 130 mounds in an area of over 2 hectares, varying in different sizes and shapes.

The dead person was placed upon a stake with trunks up to 3 metres in length. Clothing, jewelry, a "dead persons meal" were put there too. The heat was so intens that only a little bit remains
of bones were left. The ashes were put together in an urn of a bag.

This urn or bag got buried in the mound. Mostly the mound was surrounded by a ditch which sometimes had an opening on the South-Eastside, for a possible access to the grave.
Inside the ditch sods of moor were piled up to create the mound.
