Sig - could you explain your dowsing terminology here; I expect many readers are unfamiliar with your terms! Many thanks! Tim.

Reminds me of the 'Beehive' chamber at Carn Euny fogou, only that one's round. (There's a site page on here for it, Sig.)

Do we really want to know about blind spring domes and energy leys? Surely there are websites for dowsers. Would we put archaeology stuff on a dowsing website?
TimPrevett (2006-05-18)
Yes to the latter, because for dowsers without an archaeological site there would be no focus; yes to the middle - see Stonedowser.com, but not many stone dowsing websites. To the former, no I am not overly concerned personally, but for many dowsing these things makes an important part of the megalithic fascination.

Am afraid these are not the types of dowsing I am interested in because they don't teach me anything about the ancestors who built these places. I'm more interested in how they used them.

I've got a lot of respect for the integrity of your dowsing, Angie.

Thankyou Thorgrim. I appreciate that.

Curious about the Dowsing terminology I visited http://www.geomancy.org which explained the whole Dowsing 'thing', but be prepared for some heavy maths! We gladly accept that stone structures, circles and standing stones relate to the rising and setting of the sun and moon, constellations etc. why would they not also relate to the earth below with regards to water veins, springs and earth 'energies'? I think that I may have to revisit stone monuments with this in mind.
There are more photos of these curious Colonial spring houses/storage huts on http://www.neara.org for those interested.
