Indian Burial Mound
Here is another shot of the Indian Burial Mound in Ormond Beach, Florida, that is across the street from Ames Park. The sign is more clearly readable in the last post, and tells of the history of the mound. This is how ancient Native Americans in Florida honored their dead. The mound would be added to as people passed away. Intact ones are rare, and this is one of the best preserved ones in the area.
