Description
The western (foot) end of Govan 1, which is 0.65m wide. "Govan and Its Carved Stones" by Anna Richie (page 10) tells us the sarcophagus was cleaned and conserved by Historic Scotland in 1998-99, and "when first installed in the church, it was probably closer to the altar".
